Hello,

I'm hoping someone may be able to help me, my fiance and I are hoping to get married in Perranuthnoe at the end of the summer - everything going to plan!

We live in Rosudgeon, where I grew up, but we're desperately looking for someone to hold our wedding reception. It would be for around 50 people....if anyone knows of somewhere or has a barn or field they would rent to us for us to be able to transform then that would be amazing!

Is there anyone with time to spare who would be willing to sit for me? Some of you may know I am working towards a degree in Fine Art at Falmouth and as my ambition is to be the next Lucian Freud, I need to get in a bit of practice. I would probably need a model to sit for approx. 12 hours (not all in one go). You could have the painting when it is finished (if you felt you wanted it!) providing I can borrow it back for assessments...

Village Crafts

We would just like to remind villagers, that Village Crafts is open all year and that we sell milk, local free range eggs, tea, coffee, sugar, 1st and 2nd class stamps, toilet rolls and organic white and wholemeal 'Bloomer' style bread. Bread can be ordered in advance up to 5pm everyday, for collection the following day. We also now stock Ecover washing up liquid and washing liquid.

Needed - Workshop Space

We are in need of a workshop to make our wellington boot racks. The space must have a power and water supply and in an area where woodworking noise will not be a nuisance to anyone.

A space in Perranuthnoe would be ideal but anywhere in the surrounding area would be great.

We would also consider moving to rented accommodation with maybe outbuildings that could be used for a workshop.

Basically, anything considered!

Kittens - Perranuthnoe Born and Bred

Kittens are 5 weeks and will be ready in 2-3 weeks. They are weaned and litter trained. One of them has already eaten three mice !!

They are 'Serengeti' type cats ( Bengal X Oriental Shorthair) but not registered with the American TICA cat club.

Very cute and spotty!

Churchway Footpath

Hello Perranuthnoe, as some of you may know already I rent some fields with the Churchway footpath (footpath 8) running along the side. Its in the Marazion direction from village church, with electric fencing in it. Over the years the path has encroached into the field and needs to be re-instated. There seems to be some misunderstandings about who should be responsible for the path, as the electric fence to keep the pigs in is regularly moved back into the field.

As you all know when the fence touches vegetation it earths out and is equivalent to leaving the gate open. I spoke to Hannah Bratley at Cornwall Council responsible for footpaths. She has given the matter a reference number Ref;- 091683115 and has said it is not my resonsibility to maintain the path closer to the hedge. This lies with the person who normally looks after the paths in this area.

They have been lent some old PA equipment but the microphones are no good and there are no stands.

Bus Meeting Follow Up

Three representatives from the bus company and two from the Parish Council came to the meeting to discuss the bus stop.
The agreement reached provisionally was to improve the bus stop area to make it easier for the bus to wait in St. Piran's Way, and also to build up the kerb to make it easier to board.
Once these works have been completed, the bus will wait (engine switched off!) for the turn-around time in St. Piran's way, and then set off for Goldsithney directly. Fingers crossed!
